Improved Research Workflows Begin with Perspective
What We Can Learn From Each Other
At Advarra, we strive to advance safer, smarter, and faster research. Oftentimes, that requires a lot of listening and brainstorming with the research community to develop solutions and services to serve them. However, it also means creating connections between research stakeholders who are looking to achieve a similar goal.
Brian Sevier, COO of University of Florida CTSI & Director of the Office of Research, believes this is a key component of a successful approach to streamline key workflows between stakeholders. At the Site-Sponsor Consortium’s first in-person meeting at our recent Onsemble Conference, we spoke with Brian on considerations for collaboration.

eBook: Site Perspectives on Sponsor-Provided Technology
Now more than ever, clinical research sites are stretched thin, balancing the growing volume in trials with limited staff and resources. In collaboration with the Society for Clinical Research Sites (SCRS), Advarra conducted a survey to understand current struggles sites face, finding that:
of sites reported that existing solutions designed to enable site-sponsor connections have actually increased their burden.
of sites prefer to use at least some of their own technology solutions to manage and conduct industry trials.
Development Updates from the Connected Ecosystem
Advarra’s Longboat Platform unites study stakeholders and centralizes trial activities within one integrated system with content tailored to meet specific study needs. Advarra recently released expanded secure document exchange capabilities within the Longboat Platform. The release centralizes the secure exchange of regulated documents between sponsors, CROs, and sites, significantly streamlining study startup and eliminating historically cumbersome processes across research stakeholders.
This marks the completion of the first stage in Advarra’s commitment to connect and optimize workflows between sites and life sciences organizations via site-centric technology solutions, providing secure, universal platform integration.
