General Perceptions of Clinical Trials in 2023

Significant growth and adoption of new research approaches in the life sciences industry has driven an increasingly complex and competitive clinical trial landscape. In particular, patient recruitment is consistently one of the main challenges in clinical research as studies become larger, longer, and more complex. In order to influence greater participation in clinical trials, both sponsors and sites must evaluate and understand the existing perceptions of clinical research. As a result, it’s important to develop strategies to educate potential participants on the benefits – affecting both the individual and the community – of participating in clinical research. Below are the results of a poll of 1,000 random U.S. residents on their general perception and understanding of clinical research conducted in 2023.
