ACRP Acknowledges Advarra for Its Free Resources During the COVID-19 Pandemic
ACRP recognized Advarra for the organization’s leadership and free guidance during the global COVID-19 pandemic in the blog article Clinical Trial Leaders Offer Free Resources to Battle COVID-19.
“Even in this most challenging of times, it is heartening to see how the clinical industry is rallying, united in purpose, to save lives and mitigate the spread of this global pandemic,” said ACRP Executive Director Jim Kremidas.
Last month, Advarra announced several free research compliance resources to support the research community during the COVID-19 pandemic, including complimentary transfer of IRB oversight and a dedicated Ask Advarra resource for rapid guidance on emerging COVID-19 issues. Advarra regulatory experts have responded to hundreds of COVID-19 research compliance questions, and that guidance is summarized and regularly updated on the organization’s Coronavirus Guidance webpage.
Advarra is also hosting the free webinar Ask Advarra Live: The Real-World Impact of COVID-19 on Research to discuss real-world questions and provide practical guidance. In addition to these complimentary services, Advarra can also provide staff augmentation services and other virtual capabilities to help prevent COVID-19 related restrictions from halting research activities.
Advarra serves as the IRB of record for the majority of coronavirus and COVID-19 protocols in the US. The organization provides priority review for these studies and waives protocol review fees.
“We are all in this together. A silver lining in this crisis is it has shown the importance of clinical research,” said Michele Russell-Einhorn, Advarra Chief Compliance Officer and Institutional Official.
Advarra is committed to supporting the research community through the current crisis and has policies and processes in place to keep all operations functioning as normal. Contact Advarra for dedicated research compliance support during the COVID-19 pandemic.
